Neste fim de semana,Curitiba recebe sétima edição do Festival da Cultura Cervejeira Artesanal

Com entrada gratuita, evento ocorre nos dias 15 e 16 de novembro, na Praça Afonso Botelho, reunindo mais de 30 cervejarias do Paraná, operações gastronômicas, atividades culturais e shows ao vivo

On November 15th and 16th, Curitiba will host the seventh edition of FCCA – Festival da Cultura Cervejeira Artesanal (Festival of Craft Beer Culture ), the largest event focused on this segment in Paraná. 

Combining gastronomy, cultural activities, live shows and plenty of craft beer, this edition takes place at Praça Afonso Botelho, in Água Verde, from 11 am to 10 pm on Saturday, and from 11 am to 8 pm on Sunday. 

“We are heading into another edition of the fair that is a benchmark in the segment in Southern Brazil. We will have 31 breweries from Paraná, resulting in more than 150 taps of various types of draft beer. In addition to celebrating beer culture, FCCA promotes cultural activities for the whole family, such as skateboarding lessons, a kids’ area, a pet area, musical performances, among others,” comments Everton Delfino , President Director of PROCERVA – Association of Microbreweries of Paraná, which organizes the festival.

The breweries participating in the event are: Cervejaria Benckebier, Bonna Beer, ØL Beer, Cervejaria 4 Bodes, Bierherr, Joy Project Brewing, Fumaçônica, Ignorus Cervejaria, 4 Hops, Alright Beer, Yellow Bird Brewery, Cervejaria Moondri, Coice da Mula, Hespanha Brewery, Cervejaria Brux Beer, Cervejaria Bonato, Cervejaria Araucária, Dash Cervejaria, Cervejaria Yule, Cervejaria Swamp, Frohenfeld Craft Brewery, EH Brewing Co, Van Dutch Beer, Cervejaria Irônica, Gauden Bier, Xamã, Gruit Beers, Bastards Brewery, Providencia, BodeBrown, and Buddy Brewery. Draft beers will be available starting at R$12.

The food operations will be run by the breweries themselves, offering options such as “Meatballs” and “German Hot Dogs” from Joy Project Brewing; “Pork Sandwich on a Baguette ,” “Mushroom Sandwich on a Baguette,” and “Milk Pudding” from Xamã; “Smash Burgers ,” portions, and fries from Alright Beer; “Hamburgers ” and “Onça Meat in a Crispy Straw ” from Cervejaria Araucária; ” Pork Crackling ” and “Wheat Tortillas with Pulled Pork, Coleslaw, and Barbecue Sauce Fillings ” from 4 Hops; and “Bread with Meatball with Bacon Jam and Vinaigrette ,” “Mortadella Sandwich , ” “Pork Belly Meatballs,” and “Pastrami and Gorgonzola Arancini ” from Buddy Brewery. 

In addition, the public will be able to check out the State Beer Routes stand, with a special program featuring free workshops every hour on various topics, including discussions about food pairings, blind tastings, and more.

The seventh Craft Beer Culture Festival will feature a wide-ranging musical program, resulting in more than 11 hours of music, bringing together groups such as Pindorama , an instrumental music trio that navigates surf music, presenting classics by Tim Maia, Dick Dale, The Ventures, Luiz Gonzaga, Alceu Valença, The Chantays, The Champs, Tom Jobim, among others; the band Berliner Galaxie , with a repertoire of Soul and Blues hits; the Destemido Rei Quartet , with its irreverent jazz; the Banda Ignorante , formed by brewers from Ignorus; the Bob Marley Tribute , among others.

Skateboarding lessons and more attractions

With the goal of offering a cultural experience for different audiences, FCCA will also feature cultural activities such as Skateboarding Lessons with Alexandre Gatto, from The Church Radical Park , the largest extreme sports training center in Paraná. In addition, there will be an area dedicated to children, a pet area, a mini vinyl record fair, and flash tattoos.

 

Sustainability and solidarity

Promoting conscious consumption, the festival will feature the Official Cup (300ml), available for R$10. Furthermore, 50% of the proceeds from the sale of this item will be donated to social projects of “ Voluntariando.ong” , an organization that promotes transformative actions focused on the dignity of people in situations of social vulnerability.

Mikkerller Running Club Curitiba Special Circuit

As part of the program, the Mikkerller Running Club Curitiba , the first running club in Brazil linked to the Danish beer Mikkerller, celebrates the Curitiba Marathon with special FCCA circuits . The MRC was created in 2014 by the brand’s founder, Mikkel Borg Bjergsø, with the goal of bringing together people who share two interests: running and drinking good beer. The club quickly spread around the world with organized groups – called chapters – in more than 40 countries across five continents, always following the motto “run first, drink later”.

During the two days of the event, the team of runners will receive vouchers to sample beers from any stand at the festival. Registration opens on November 8th via the link in the bio of the Instagram profile @mrccuritiba.
